Erewash Valley Golf Club

 

This was a very prestigious project, won by the Highfield Joinery and Building Services Ltd against strong competition, in the middle of 2007. It consisted of the build of a new shower and changing facilities for the members of the golf club and their visitors. Also the club house was extended by the addition of a conservatory and the construction of a new lounge for social functions. The bar was also refurbished with a new purpose built bar and servery area and various other works internal to the golf club and the green keepers facilities were also undertaken.

 

The very nature of the project required all the work to be of a very high standard with the added complication that the operation of the site was to be interrupted as little as possible. This required a close liaison with the management team appointed by the club to oversee the project and it is no doubt that due to their co-operation that the project proved to be so successful. Special thanks therefore go to Fred Davidson, Robin Wilby and Ron Palmer in this respect.

 

The project work involved every aspect of the work for which Highfield Joinery and Building Services Ltd have built their reputation. They were responsible for the complete build, acting as the Principal Contractor under the terms of the CDM Regulations. Apart from using their own resources for joinery, groundworks, bricklaying and plumbing there was a need to appoint various sub-contractors with contracts in some cases in excess of L40k
